Icy Hot United was established in the Fall of 2008 by a group of working professionals, who played (soccer) competitively throughout high school, college and in adult leagues.

After many years of competitive soccer, we decided to shift our focus from pure competition to add more recreation, which would make the sport more inviting, less taxing on the body and lessen the injuries and rough play that accompanies the sport.

The name “Icy Hot“ was bestowed upon us in jest by a youngster whom upon finding out that we played every Saturday implied we would need Icy Hot after each outing.

“United” represents the unity of the younger and older players as they connect in the spirit of community. Although soccer is what connects us, our main goal is to empower ourselves and foster camaraderie amongst ourselves and the community we live in.
